Máriina jedinečnosť, a to nielen v umeleckom svete, tkvie v jej úprimnosti a úprimnom záujme o študentstvo a umenie, v integrite, ktorá pôsobí až neochvejne, i keď sa nachádza v pozícii moci a v schopnosti nadchnúť ľudí a to najmä v časoch, kedy sa im akékoľvek snaženie zdá márne. Nie preto, že by sa ľudí snažila presvedčiť – s charizmou jej vlastnou – o nejakej dogmatickej správnosti svojho prístupu k umeniu a umeleckej tvorbe, ale preto, že predstava umenia, ktorému verí, a o ktoré bojuje, s ľuďmi rezonuje.

Documenting the Present

The “documentary turn” has often been mentioned in debates surrounding the art of the last two decades. Is it possible to describe the ways in which this turn has influenced contemporary photography? How has our perception of documentary changed in the age of smartphones, social media, and youtube?
